Esther Elisabeth Reichert
Esther Elisabeth Reichert (nee Beuscher), 97, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehab.
Esther was born on April 22, 1912, in Germantown to Henry and Anna (nee Hoelz) Beuscher. Esther was baptized and confirmed at Zoar Re-formed Church, now Our SaviorÍs UCC Church in Ger-mantown.
She attended West Bend High School and the State Normal School in Mayville to become a teacher. She taught in several one room schools in the Germantown area for a number of years, then attended the University of Wiscon-sin-Oshkosh, where she re-ceived her teaching degree. The degree allowed her to teach in larger school systems in Plate, Pewaukee, Rochester and Slinger. Esther was a teacher for 40 years.
On Aug. 25, 1956, Esther was united in marriage to Rev. Paul Rudolf Reichert at Our SaviorÍs UCC Church in Germantown. They enjoyed many years of wedded life.
She embraced the role of a pastorÍs wife by being a faithful helpmate.
After Rev. ReichertÍs retirement, they lived a number of years at various Cedar Lake Home facilities while they also enjoyed visiting friends and traveling.
Esther is survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Beuscher; nieces and nephews, Betty Egger, Leslie (Eileene) Beus-cher, Elfrieda (Dennis) Tis-cher, Richard (Cheryl) Beus-cher, Alan (Renee) Beuscher, Dennis (Pamela) Beuscher, Lorene (Daniel) Stratil; great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service will be at 5 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2009, at Our SaviorÍs UCC Church, W172 N12533 Division Road, Germantown with the Rev. Michael Matheny officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Our Saviors Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church only on Monday, June 1, from 3 p.m. until time of service, 5 p.m.
