Raymond E. Iczkowski


Raymond E. Iczkowski of Jackson died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 67 years. He was born on Aug. 14, 1942 in Milwaukee to the late Ervin, Sr. and Leona (nee Sucharski).

Ray had worked at various businesses in the Milwaukee area before becoming employed as a delivery driver for Blue Print, Inc.
Early in his life, he raced midget cars in Sun Prairie, and also managed music bands in the Milwaukee area.

On May 31, 1980, he was united in marriage to Pamela M. Stanley in Milwaukee.

After moving to the Town of Jackson in 1992, Ray became involved in many different aspects of horses. He would buy and sell them, operated a livery service and would appear in various parades throughout the area. He also would participate in different events with the Buckskinners.

He was a member of the Haflingers Owners of Wisconsin Club, the Washington County Draft Horse Association and the Jackson Lions Club, serving as President in the 1990s.

Survivors include his wife Pamela; son Anthony (fiancee Sarah Lehman) of Milwaukee; three grandsons; sister Ruth (Mark) Raymer of Highland, Texas; sister-in-law Renie (Donald) Dugan of Oshkosh; best friend John Fenton of Jackson; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 1 son Bobby on Jan. 25, 2004 and brother Ervin, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 13 at 10:45 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slinger with the Rev. Richard Stoffel presiding. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery (new), Slinger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. until a Prayer Vigil at 7:45 p.m. and also Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 10:45 a.m.
