Renzaglia
Delbert ‘Del’ H. Renzaglia, 73, of Hartford passed away on Wednesday,
Nov. 11, 2009 while surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital in
Milwaukee.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1936 in Milwaukee to Delmo and Florence (nee
Schwamb) Renzaglia. Del was united in marriage to Eloise ‘Ellie’ F.
Clement on Dec. 8, 1956 at St. John United Church of Christ in Slinger.
Del was born in Milwaukee and the family moved to Hartford when he was
12. He graduated with the class of 1954 from Hartford High School where
he was involved in sports. Del worked for the City of Hartford at the
Recreation Center. He played for the Land O'Lakes basketball team,
enjoyed bowling, golf, volleyball, and softball. Del coached Little
League baseball, and ran the city softball league for 3 years, and
umpired for softball and baseball, and he refereed for football. He
loved his Packers, Badgers, and Brewers, NASCAR, golf, crossword and
Sudoku puzzles. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist
church where he sang in the choir for over 30 years, and served in many
areas. Del was so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren. He was a kind and loving soul and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Ellie of 52 years; his children, Lawrence
(Mary) Renzaglia of West Bend, Robb (Rochelle) Renzaglia of Hartford,
SuzAnne Renzaglia of Fond du Lac, and Michael (Kristan) Renzaglia of
Hartford; his grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Daniel, Craig Renzaglia,
Sebastian Petak, Gabriella Luecke, Antonio Renzaglia, and Taylor
Renzaglia; his great-grandchildren Michael, Landon and Taylor Daniel;
his step-grandchildren and step greatgrandchildren; his brother Kenneth
Renzaglia of Hartford; his brothers-in-law, Roger (Betty) Clement and
Allen (Diane) Clement; and sister-in-law Pattie (Donald) Wachuta. Del is
further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Del will be held on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at 7 p.m.
at First United Methodist Church, 738 W. Monroe Avenue, Hartford with
the Rev. Brian Kundinger officiating. The family will greet relatives
and friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the church. Interment at Pleasant
Cemetery in Hartford.
