Joseph A. Pagac, 93, of Hartford, formerly of Milwaukee, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
Joseph was born on Feb. 20, 1916, in Milwaukee to Joseph and Agatha (nee Michuda) Pagac. Joseph was united in marriage to Mary Tomisch on Sept. 24, 1938 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Joseph was a member of the Mason Lodge for over 50 years and was a 42nd degree mason. He worked for AO Smith and had his own lock smith business, ARO Lock & Key. Joseph and Mary spent many winters in Arizona. He enjoyed wood carving, traveling, camping, bowling, golfing and square dancing. He enjoyed watching his great-grandchildren’s sporting events.
Joseph is survived by his children, Joe (Barbara) Pagac of Hartford, Sandy (Ron) Raffay of Hartford and Jerry (Mardee) Pagac of Ill.; seven grandchildren, Wendy (Jeff), Jill (Dale), Jeffrey, Jon, David (Jena), Brook (Corey) and Zachary (Monica); ten great-grandchildren, Troy, Reed, Sarah, Conrad, R.J., Coleman, Briana, Lexi, Lily and Hunter; and his sister, Jean Jancovek of Brookfield. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and his brothers and sisters, Marianne Krueger, Andrew, Steve Pagac, Helen Tupper, Albert Davis and Betty Bethmann.
Funeral services for Joseph will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, 13235 W. Capitol Drive. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the cemetery only from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society are appreciated.
