John Jahn, 83, of the town of Trenton, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at St. Josephís Hospital in West Bend.
John was born on Aug. 25, 1926, in Felsonanna, Hungary, to John and Katherine (nee Koch) Jahn.
On Sept. 9, 1950, John married Elizabeth Faerber in Germany. He came to Stone Bank from Germany in 1952 where he lived for several years before moving to Milwaukee.
John was employed as a bricklayer and member of Bricklayers Union No. 8. He was a past member of the Milwaukee Liederkranz and a current member of the Milwaukee Donauschwaben Senior Citizens.
John is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Elizabeth. He is the loving father of Ed (Lisa) Jahn of Saukville and Norbert Jahn of West Bend. He is the proud Opa of Adam Jahn, and brother of Henry (Louise) Jahn and further survived by other relatives and friends both here and in Europe.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, 621 Division Road, Newburg, with the Rev. Jon Baumann officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wauwatosa.
