Carol S. Strupp

Carol S. Strupp, 61, of Kiel, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at her home.

She was the former Carol S. Hauman born May 25, 1948, in Berlin, Wis., daughter of late Peter and Eva (nee Cobbler) Hauman.

Carol attended St. Kilians Grade School in Hartford and was a 1966 graduate of Hartford Union High School. On May 27, 1972, she married Tom Strupp at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence.

She had formerly been a waitress at the Family Diner in New Holstein. Carol was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kiel and a former member of the St. Lawrence Christian Women. She also had taught religious education in St. Lawrence.

She enjoyed raising and spending time with her family, reading books, cooking, sewing and playing cards.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Tom of Kiel; three children, Kristine (Steve) Skorbier of Fredonia, Tim (Tracy) Strupp of Mishicot and Craig Strupp of Kiel; and eight grandchildren, Amber, Samantha, Makayla, Devin, Victoria, Reid, Nicolas and Zaida. She is further survived by her sisters and brother, Cathy (Daniel) Watson, Aggie Brinkman and Gordon (Sandy) Hauman, all of New Holstein. She is further survived by her "Mom," Pat Nebel of Hubertus; and her extended family, mother-in-law, Cecilia Strupp of West Bend; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Eva Hauman; her "Dad," Robert Nebel; and her father-in-law, Isidor Strupp.

The funeral Mass for Carol will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys and parish director, Joseph Zenk officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
