Theckla B. Boden, 94
Theckla B. Boden (nee Heinecke), 94, of Big Cedar Lake died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend where she has been a resident since December of 2000.
She was born June 15, 1915 in Nenno to the late Philip Sr. and Mathilda (nee Zimmel) Heinecke and was united in marriage to Edgar Boden on June 20, 1936 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno. Edgar preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1987.
Theckla loved spending time with her family, gardening, tending to her flower garden, quilting and ice fishing.
She was a member of the Christian Woman’s Confrater-nity at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Survivors include her three sons, Jerome (friend Anne Feucht) of Lomira, Joseph (Gloria) of Black River Falls and John (Nancy) of Big Cedar Lake; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Fridolin (Agnes) Heinecke of Allenton, her sister Irene Jacak of Campbellsport, nieces, neph-ews and other relatives and friends.
Theckla is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar on Feb. 10, 1987, a grandson Joseph Boden Jr. on March 17, 1990, three brothers: Christian Heinecke, Philip Heinecke and Walter Heinecke, four sisters: Delores Heinecke, Malinda Heinecke, Gladys Roecker and Marcella Sullivan, two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Nabob. Rev. Joseph Dominic will preside. Burial will follow in St. Matthias Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, at the Schmidt Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and also Wednesday, at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
