Eleanor Constance Lentz, 74
Eleanor Constance “Connie” Lentz (nee Kircher),
74, of West Bend, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at St. Joseph’s
Community Hospital.
She was born on March 10, 1935, in
Sheboygan
to Walter and Eleanor (nee Krines). She was raised in
Kenosha
and moved to
West Bend
in 1965, where she raised her family. Connie was a graduate of
Marquette
University
with a degree in nursing. She worked at
St. Joseph
’s
Community
Hospital
as an RN supervisor for over 20 years, and later was an RN supervisor at
Cedar Lake Campus until her retirement. During Connie’s retirement, she
enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, many friends and
her pet cat, Cleopatra “Cleo”.
Connie is survived by her children, Curtis (Kelly)
of
Elkhart
Lake
, Eric (Kathy) of
West Bend
, Lori (Brett) Englebert of Seymour and Brian of Sarasota, Fla. She is
further survived by her grandchildren, Sean, Shannon, Jared, Krista Lentz,
Brandon and Garrett Nagel, and Eleanor (Ellie) Englebert; a brother-inlaw
Cliff Roach of
Lake
Mills
; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Per Connie’s request, a private family service
was held on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. Memorials to Cedar Lake Campus are
appreciated.
The family would like to thank the nursing and
respiratory care staff at
St. Joseph
’s Hospital,
West Bend
and Cedar Campus, for the compassionate care given to Connie over the
years. A special thank you to Dr. Gary Herdrich for his countless on-call
hours for Connie and the respectful care that was always given to her.
Thank you also to her many friends at Stonefield Manor who watched over
her and Cleo.
