Arno Albert Hinrichs

Arno Albert Hinrichs, 85, of the town of Polk passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Cedar Lake Campus with his family at his side.

Arno was born on Sept. 20, 1923, in Milwaukee to John and Amanda (nee Stoecker) Hinrichs. After returning from the war, he worked as a draftsman briefly and then he married Dorothy Helen Janke on April 27, 1946, in Milwaukee. Arno then changed jobs and began his career with the Wisconsin Telephone Co. and retired after over 35 years of service.

He enjoyed his retirement on Little Cedar Lake with his family and many friends. Arno was a husband and father beyond measure. Dorothy remained the love of his life for over 63 years. We, his children, were blessed with having the world’s greatest father. Dad always put his wife and children before all else. Arno was a member of American Legion Post 36 of West Bend.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 4 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
