Kathleen A. Livangood


Kathleen A. Livangood, (nee Peplinski), 66, of West Bend, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her residence.

She was born on June 17, 1943, in Milwaukee to the late Henry and Anna (nee Kolassa) Peplinski. Kathy and her husband, Gerald, owned Jerry’s Restaurant in Cedarburg and the Longbranch Saloon in West Bend for many years. While she owned the Longbranch, she held a charity softball game every year to raise money and food for the West Bend Food Pantry. She loved playing Bingo, Yahtzee and Scrabble, and she enjoyed all music. Her greatest joy was in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children, Sharon (Robert) Theis of Random Lake, Diane (Todd) Hansen of Port Washington, Gregory (Pamela) Antholt of Juneau, Lisa (Tony) Boshell of Lodi, Thomas and William Livangood, both of West Bend; a brother, Eugene (Rita) Peplinski of Cedarburg; two sisters, Dolores Baeseman of West Bend and Esther “Jean” Enking of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Linda (Bob) Tusczkiewicz of Cedarburg; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ralph Antholt and Gerald Livangood; a sister, Marilyn (David) Carlson; a brother, Donald Peplinski; her parentsin-law, Guy and Della Livangood and a grandson, Christopher Boshell.

A memorial service in remembrance of Kathleen will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation took place at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service.
