David J. Beder
David J. Beder, 20, of St. Lawrence, passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009.
David was born on July 2, 1989, to Lawrence and Christine (nee Witczak) Beder in West Bend. He was raised in St. Lawrence, attended Slinger High School and was in the graduating class of 2007. David was currently employed as a merchandise salesman in the music industry with the band Chicago and also worked at Burger King in Slinger. David was an active member of the St. Lawrence Fire Department as a first responder, Hartford Community Service, Inc., past member of St. Lawrence Eager Beavers Club of the Washington County 4-H program.
David will be deeply missed by his parents, Lawrence and Chris of St. Lawrence, and his brother, Jason. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles, John Witczak and Joyce Witczak of Mayville, Ed (Lynn) Witczak of Slinger, Joe Witczak of Greendale, Agnes (George) Wagner of St. Lawrence, Paul (Diane) Beder of Waupun, Frank (Karen) Beder of Iron Ridge, Ruth (Ed) Flasch of Allenton, Theresa (Charles) Vogt of Allenton, Claire (Mike) Nagel of Arlington, Mary Beder of Dodge Center, Minn., and Marie Beder of South Dakota; special nephew, Matthew; 27 cousins, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Irena and Jozef Witczak, and Alvin and Anita Beder; two uncles, John and George Beder; two aunts, Irene Beder and Kathleen Witczak.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at 10:30 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Highway 175, with the Rev. Jerry Repenshek officiating. Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend on Friday, Sept. 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a St. Lawrence Fire Department walk through at 6:30 p.m. and a Prayer Vigil at 8 p.m. Closing of casket prayers will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurment of ashes at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the St. Lawrence Fire Department, Slinger Football Team or the Washington County 4-H Program.
