Alfred
Schuettler Alfred Schuettler, 91, formerly of Port Washington, died from cancer on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at his town of Addison home on Big Cedar Lake. Alfred was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 19, 1917, the son of Alfred and Rose Peters Schuettler. He and his father operated a grocery store in Port Washington in the 1940s. Alfred married Mary Ann Bialzik on Sept. 27, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Church. He worked 49 years at Ataco Steel in Grafton. Mary Ann said her husband had a quiet, unassuming nature. “He loved gardening and doing outdoor work,” she said. He also enjoyed fishing, especially in the Eagle River area. Alfred is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the town of Addison; sons Patrick of La Crosse, David of Duluth, Minn., and Christopher of the town of Addison; grandchildren, Karl and Jamie Schuettler and Laura (Eric) Walton; and two great-grandchildren, Trent Schuettler and Taylor Ann Walton. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Edith Bialzik of Port Washington. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary in Hubertus. A special thank you to Dr. Margorie Vukelich, Dr. Robert Gibson and Vitas Hospice Care. Arrangements are being handled by Krause Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
