Carl P. Fromm
Carl P. Fromm, 89, of the town of Barton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1920, in the town of Barton to the late Charles and Linda (nee Eichstaedt) Fromm. On Nov. 25, 1939, Carl was united in marriage to Elizabeth Frank in West Allis. Carl served his country honorably during World War II in the Army Infantry as a German Interpreter. After his discharge from the Army, he worked in the foundry at Motor Castings in West Allis for 24 1/2 years. In 1965 when Carl and Elizabeth moved to West Bend, he worked for his cousin, Sylvester Hron, at Swiss Bar for 10 years.
Carl is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his daughter, Carol Fromm of Brookfield; two granddaughters, Dawn (Greg) Kaye of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Debra (Scott) Spence of Kissimmee, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren, Rachel, Alexander, Austin, Gabrielle and Greg Kaye, Jarrett, Cole and Merissa Spence; one brother-in-law, George (Lorraine) Frank of Milwaukee; and one niece, Janet (John) Hinkley of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; many relatives and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Ann; and his sister, Dorothy Belsha.
Funeral services in remembrance of Carl will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
