Juanita J. Obrecht
Juanita J. Obrecht (nee Bennett), 87, of Menomonee Falls, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Northfield Manor.
Juanita was born on April 18, 1922, to Carl and Effie (nee Hodgson) Bennett in Black Earth. She graduated from Black Earth High School and later married Monford "Monty" Chris Obrecht on Sept. 5, 1940. Juanita was a secretary for Wisconsin Centrifugal in Waukesha, Fermi Lab-Atomic Research Center in Batavia, Ill., and also a buyer and expeditor for Telectronics in Franklin. She was a member of AMVETS, Stony Hills Presbyterian Church and Royal Neighbors.
Juanita will be deeply missed by her husband Monty, daughters Joan (Bud) Moertl of Hubertus and Jean (Richard) Abel of Columbus, Ohio. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Chad (Suzanne) Moertl, Reid Moertl, Trisha (Aaron) Gardner, Vanessa (Carl) Prentice and Rebecca (Gary) Burchett; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Ella Moertl, Ava and Calvin Gardner, Estelle Abel and Madeline Burchett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, James Obrecht; grandson, Matthew Obrecht; brother, Ralph (Thelma) Bennett; and sister, Naomi (Ernest) Kendall.
A funeral service will be held on 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Stony Hills Presbyterian Church, N112 W17655 Mequon Road, Germantown, with the Rev. Bruce Greenough officiating. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Black Earth. Visitation will be at church only on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. until time of service. Memorials to Stony Hills Presbyterian Church appreciated.
