Dennis Struck, 65
Dennis A. Struck, Sr. passed away on March 26, 2010 at the age of 65. Dennis was the loving son of Harold and Verona Struck. He was born on February 25, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dennis attended high school and then went on to obtain his basic firefighting certification from the Milwaukee Area Technical College . He went on to serve his community as a firefighter for both the Grafton and Cedarburg fire departments. Dennis was injured in the line of duty while fighting a barn fire in 1984. He retired from firefighting at the rank of Captain.
Dennis moved to Chandler, Ariz. in 2009 to be closer to his family. He enjoyed watching movies, bowling, riding bikes and camping. However, his true love was spending time with his grandkids: Jake, Jaxon, “his baby” Kallie, Ethan, Emory, Evan and Tony. Dennis was a true son, brother, father, friend, grandpa and hero. The legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and inheritance of a great example.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Verona Struck, brother Robert Struck, sister-in-law Judy Struck, brother-in-law Gilbert McDaniel and his daughter Candace Struck. He is survived by brothers Gerald (Dorothy) Struck, Richard Struck, Lawrence (Ursula) Struck and Karl Struck; sisters Lucille McDaniel and Darlene (Tom) Crawford; sister-in-law Kathy Struck; children Dawn (Russ) Haynes and Dennis Jr. (Candis) Struck; close friend Sandra Kiesow and his seven grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his many relatives and friends, both in Arizona and Wisconsin.
Dennis’ life was celebrated with a Friday night fish fry and memorial tribute from the Chandler, Ariz. and the Mesa, Ariz. fire departments. We love you very much and will miss you, but we will meet again. Please sign the guest book at www.mem.com.
