Edwin J. Miller, 93|


Edwin J. Miller of Jackson, formerly of West Bend, died on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Kathy Hospice at the age of 93. He was born on Dec. 24, 1916, in Jackson to the late Edwin G. and Josephine P. (nee Jansen) Miller.

On June 14, 1941, he was united in marriage to Lucile J. Giese in Plymouth.

During World War II, he served with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater.

Following his discharge, he returned to the West Bend area and worked at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for many years.

Throughout his life, he was a avid bowler. Ed bowled many 300 games, and bowled the first sanctioned 300 game in West Bend.

Survivors include his wife Lucile; three children Larry (Lynn) of West Bend, Steve (Jean) of West Bend and Sue (Don) Aude of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren Lori (Paul) Popernik of Chicago, Ill., Len (Lori) Miller of West Bend, Matt (Mandy) Miller of West Bend, Katelyn Miller of West Bend and Kristin Miller of West Bend; four great-grandchildren Noah and Maya Popernik and Emery and Ellison Miller; four sisters-in-law Rose Kuehl of Kewaskum, Eleanor Miller of West Bend, Rheina Klein of West Bend and Marie Dickmann of Sheboygan; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Marcella Michels and Lucille "Tudy" Eisen, three brothers Jim, Harvey and Leroy, three sisters-in-law Gladys Dickmann, Evelyn Miller and Dolores Giese and six brothers-in-law Corky Michels, Charles Palt, Harold Eisen, Wes Kuehl, Orville Klein and Fred Giese.

Private services will be held.

The family has requested memorials to the Kathy Hospice.
