Wilmer H. ‘Bill’ Wolf
 

Wilmer H. "Bill" Wolf passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at the age of 89.

Bill was born on Sept. 25, 1920, in Allenton, to Martin and Mary (nee Mueller) Wolf. He married Lucy Schweitzer on Oct. 29, 1946, in Allenton.

Bill was a farmer for over 63 years and was very proud of his work. In addition, he remembered fondly his work with the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee in his younger days. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time outside gardening. He and Lucy also spent much time traveling throughout the United States and as far away as Germany. He was a very kind and generous father and loved spending time with his family. Bill was very proud of his Catholic faith and was a member of St. John’s Society at St. Peter and Paul in Nenno. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lucy (nee Schweitzer); children, Stephen (Mary) Wolf, Eugene (Karen) Wolf, Peter (Janet) Wolf, Ann (Paul) Selk, Chris (Dale) Thelen and Teresa (James) Hill; and grandchildren, Michael Wolf, Amanda (Tim) Orth, and Claire Wolf, Katie, Jennifer and Andrea Wolf, Allison, Maria and Rachel Selk, Maggie and Peter Thelen and Bryan Hill. He is further survived by his brothers, Albert (Mildred) Wolf, the Rev. Eugene Wolf and the Rev. Werner Wolf.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joseph Gerard; and brother, Clemens Wolf.

A Mass of Christian burial for Bill will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 406 Jefferson St., Barton, with the Revs. Werner Wolf and Eugene Wolf presiding. Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010, with a rosary at 8 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at the chrch only on Saturday. Burial St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Nenno.
