Joseph P. Moser, 89
Joseph P. Moser, 89, of West Bend, passed away on Aug. 1, 2010 at Pine Lake.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1920, to the late Fred and Barbara (nee Gundrum) Moser, and on Sept. 5, 1942, he was united in marriage to Marion (nee MaryAnn) Yogerst.
Joseph served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II. The couple farmed in the town of Addison for many years before retiring to Hiles at Pine Lake where he was an avid fisherman. Joseph was a member of the St. Lawrence Voluntary Fire Department, American Legion and a life member of the Moose Lodge. He also worked on the Lake Association at Pine Lake. The couple were members of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and Joe served as an usher and reader for many years. Once retired, they were active in the Hiles and later the Crandon Catholic churches.
He is survived by his five children, Kenneth (Trudy) Moser, Donald (Laura) Moser, Irene (Kent) Hughey, Linda (Glenn) Stumpf and Paul (Veronica) Moser; nine loving grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Fred (Noel) Moser, sisters Bernadette Gindt, Rosemary (Fred) Peters and Frances Schneider; many nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in by his brothers death Alphonse and Vincent and sister Dorothy Moser.
A Mass of Christian burial for Joseph will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hartford with Fr. Joseph Dominic presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Friday, Aug. 6 from 4 p.m. until time of Mass (7 p.m.).
