Arthur ‘Butch’ J. Neuy Jr., 68

Arthur "Butch" J. Neuy Jr., 68, of West Bend died on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1942, in West Bend to the late Arthur and Marion (nee Hunt) Neuy.

In 1959, Art enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his discharge in 1963, he returned to West Bend where he made his home.

He was always working with his hands. Woodworking, welding, fixing and maintaining various kinds of equipment were all his hobbies, as well as his livelihood. He also was devoted to his family, and cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Dawn (Ervin) Missall, Danny and Amy (John Daley), all of West Bend; Paula Neuy of West Bend; four step-children, Matt (Judy) Allen of West Bend, Tracy Sponholz of Hartford, Lisa Allen of Racine and Joey Allen; six grandchildren, Michael, Dan, Heather, Samantha, Brenna and Jonathon; four step-grandchildren, Stephanie, Kaylea, Katie and Ashley; four greatgrandchildren , Marcus, Michael, Kali and Brianna; many step-great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Shirley Herman of Menomonee Falls, Sandy (John) Patterson of West Bend, Carol (Myron) McDaniel of Kewaskum, Donny Sr. (Linda) Neuy of West Bend, Debbie (Lee) Rammer of West Bend and Rick (Linda) Neuy of Campbellsport; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Neuy and Luann Neuy; a special and dear friend, Rose Rick of Ogema; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Missall; three sisters, Arlene Neuy, Dorothy (James) Rick and Linda (Pete) Dalton; three brothers, Richard Neuy Sr., Kenny (Joy) Neuy and Tommy Neuy; and a brother-in-law, Larry Herman.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
