Donald R. ‘Donny’ Schulz, 74
Donald
R. "Donny" Schulz of Kohlsville passed away at his residence on
Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at the age of 74.
Donny was born on July 29, 1936, in the town of Addison to Rudolph and
Vinelda (nee Kirchner) Schulz. Donny attended Kewaskum High School, and in
November of 1955, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served for two years.
He married Mary Ellen Ritger on Aug. 25, 1962, and together they farmed in
the town of Wayne. Donny enjoyed deer hunting, attending auctions and
rooting for the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Donny was a
longtime member of the Kohlsville Fire Department and the American Legion
Post No. 483 in Allenton.
Donny is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; eight children, Nancy, Michael,
Diane (Ken) Kingery, Christine, James (Lisa), Linda (special friend, Scott
Dzimian), David (Nancy) and Julie (Daniel) Heino Jr.; and grandchildren,
Jacob and Martina Schulz, Daniel Heino III and Danielle Kingery. He is
further survived by his brothers Gerald "Poncho" (Elaine) and
Allen (Patricia) Schulz; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Donny will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010,
at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, with the
Rev. Steven Bode presiding. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of
service at the funeral home only with the Kohlsville Fire Department
walk-thru at 5 p.m. and the Fohl-Martin American Legion Post No. 483
walk-thru at 6:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Washington County
Memorial Park.
