Weldon M. Peart, 74


Weldon M. Peart, of Fredonia, passed away on Aug. 4, 2010, at the age of 74.

Weldon was born on March 20, 1936, in Kingsford, Mich., to Benjamin and Margie (nee Martin) Peart. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He later married Drema Holfield on April 11, 1959, in Washington, D.C.  Their marriage was blessed with two children.
Weldon worked as a mechanical engineer at Continental Can for over 30 years. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman, gardener and talented woodworker. He also enjoyed hunting and golf, and as a young man, was an award-winning archer.

Weldon is survived by his wife of 51 years, Drema Peart of Fredonia; children, Bruce Peart of Cedarburg and Donna (Jack) Knetter of Fredonia; grandchildren, Dean and Ann Knetter of Fredonia; and siblings, Gale (Ronald) Mortl of Milwaukee and Richard Peart of Michigan.  He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
