Harry Edward Brown

Harry Edward Brown, 82, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Cedar Springs Nursing Home in Cedarburg.

Harry was born on April 19, 1928, to Harry August and Mary (nee Kutz) Brown. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing and hunting. Harry had a passion for Gidget the dog. Harry retired from WE Energies after more than 37 years as superintendent in the customer contact department. He also worked at the Department of Transportation for 11 years after his retirement.

Harry is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Diana (Don) Balcerzak, Marjorie (Russell) Reimers and Harry (Margaret) Brown; stepchildren, Heidi (Jeff) Zarder, Paul (Cheryl) Liepert and Melissa (Richard) McKee. Harry is also survived by grandchildren, Christopher and Kimberly, Katherine and Matthew, Brandon and Jessica; step grandchildren, Jamison (Brandy), Bradley and Whitney, Justin, Brandon and Nathan, Ian and Brennen; great-grandchildren, Amy and Cassandra. Harry is further survived by his siblings, Lloyd and Lyle Brown, B. Jean (Ken) Perzak, Suzanne (Sunny) Ortiz and Dwight (Patricia) Brown.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roland and Frank Brown.

A funeral service for Harry will be on Sunday, Aug. 22, at 4 p.m. at St. Paulís Lutheran Church of Grafton, 701 Washington St., with the Rev. Kenton Wendorf officiating. Interment will be on Monday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Jackson. Visitation will be at the church only on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 2 p.m. until time of service.
