Catherine J. Kollmansberger (nee Magyar), 90, of Care Partners Assisted Living in Kiel, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, with her loving family by her side at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1919, in Mayville to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Albert) Magyar. On April 30, 1938, Catherine was united in marriage to Edwin Kollmansberger. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1995.

Catherine enjoyed cooking, making quilts and loved playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Jerome (significant other, Shirley Galabinske) Kollmansberger of West Bend, Gilbert (Kitty) Kollmansberger of West Bend, David (Joyce) Kollmansberger of West Bend, Roger (Patricia) Kollmansberger of Sun Prairie and Susan (Augie) Simonson of Kiel; 19 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Julia Machmuller of Horicon; two brothers, Joseph Magyar of Mayville and George Magyar of Theresa; other relatives and friends.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; sister, Elizabeth Ortiz; brother, John Magyar; four great-grandchildren, Lori Ann Kollmansberger, Shane Kollmansberger, Shane Simonson and Kelly Jo Kollmansberger.

Funeral services in remembrance of Catherine will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, at noon at First Baptist Church,1275 Teckla Place, Kiel, with the Rev. Steven Schultz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
