Paula T. Leitner, 81
Paula T. Leitner (nee Flasch), 81, of the
town of Trenton, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at her residence surrounded
by her beloved children and grandchildren.
She was born Feb. 6, 1929, in the town of Wayne near St. Kilian to the
late Kilian and Gertrude (nee Becker) Flasch.
On July 2, 1949, Paula was united in marriage to Frank A. Oresnik at St.
Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish in West Bend. Following his death in
1980, she met and married John A. Leitner.
As a teenager, Paula worked at Amity Leather Products Company. In 1948,
she started at West Bend Aluminum Company where she met Frank. She was a
fulltime homemaker from 1958 to 1968. Subsequent employment included
Sierra Grinding, Barton Products and lastly, her favorite job, Moraine
Park Technical College housekeeping staff, where she is fondly remembered
for her high energy and ability to revive dying plants. She retired in
2004 due to lung disease only recently diagnosed as Mesothelioma.
Paula was a generous soul and her greatest pleasure came from caring for
family. Nieces and nephews, children, grandchildren and their friends were
blessed with her love, spirit and sense of humor.
Survivors include her husband, John; and three children, Frank of Catawba,
Paula Kim (Lance) Unger of the town of Trenton and Joan (Ben) Falter of
Newburg. She has seven grandchildren, Mary (special friend Mitch
Phillips), Rob, James and Chirstine Unger; Jenny (special friend Cody
Mueller), Sarah (special friend Louis Nett) and Ben Falter. She is further
survived by sister, Clarisy Lennartz; brother, Robert (Janet) Flasch;
sisters-in-law, Adeline Flasch, Grace Flasch, Mary (Frank) Szpek, Louise
Kreis, Karen Oresnik, Francis Abram and Jean Bagocius; and a
brother-in-law, Richard Slavik; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
In addition to her husband Frank, she is preceded in death by one son,
Robert, and his son Travis Oresnik; and eight siblings, Joan, John
"Woody," Roland, Bill, Leonard, Raymond, Gregor and Peter; other
relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. at
St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael
Moran presiding. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. The
family will greet relatives and friends at the church only during a period
of visitation on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. There will be a
reception with refreshments following the Mass.
