Armin Henry Grisar

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton, for Armin Henry Grisar, who passed away at Aurora Hospital on Dece. 6, 2010, at the age of 90 years.

Visitation will be held at the church today from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or School appreciated. Online condolences may be sent by visiting

Armin was born in Grafton on Nov. 22, 1920, the son of the late Arthur and Lydia (nee Schwengel) Grisar. Armin resided in Grafton his whole life with the exception of the past two years when he resided at Ellenís Home of Port Washington. Armin was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and the Local 1430 IAM. Armin enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dancing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis, and his brother-in-law, Fritz Kaul.

Armin is survived by his children: David (Bunnie) Grisar of Adell, Carl (Sherry) Grisar of Hoquiam, Wash, and Sandra (Robert) Thiel of Fredonia. Grandchildren: Dawn Grisar of Rochester, Minn.; Dean (Sue) Grisar of River Falls; Dion Grisar of Fond du Lac; David (Laura) Grisar of Saukville; Mike (Emlynn) Grisar of Waukesha; Tom (Sarah) Grisar of Grafton; Rob (Nicole) Grisar of Waukesha; Craig Grisar of Denver, Colo.; and Tammy (Tom) Schmidt of DeForest. Great grandchildren: Alison, Dennis, Tyler, Brett, Erin, Colbey, Brady, Ellie, Emily, Abbey, Austin, Ethan and Alexis. Sister, Arlene Kaul of Grafton. Beloved friend, Eleanor Bohn. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
