Emily L. Rahlf, 72, of St. Lawrence died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Emily was born Feb. 1, 1938, in Hartford to George and Frances (nee Breuer) Pfeifer. She was united in marriage to Walter Rahlf on April 18, 1959, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Lawrence.

Emily is survived by her children Richard (Barb) Rahlf, Nancy (David) Stewart, Daniel Rahlf, Lori (Doug) Mihm, Christine (Steve) Guerndt, John (Theresa) Rahlf, and Jennifer Rahlf;

Grandchildren Alan and Brandon Rahlf, Andrew and Sara Stewart, Jordan Rahlf, Michael and Kyle Mihm, Stephanie and Kristopher Guerndt and Mitchell and Brooke Rahlf; Great-grandchildren Cameron Stewart and Kayson Messig;

Her special friend Myron Lamers; and brothers and sisters Betty (Duane) Gundrum, Robert (Cecil) Pfeifer, Mary (Tony) Feucht, Diane (Bobby) Hechimovich, and Marion (William) Pfeifer; her sisters and brothers-in-law Lloyd (Dee) Rahlf, William (Arleen) Rahlf, Jerome "Butch" (Ann) Rahlf, James (Betty) Rahlf, Joyce (Lawrence) Hug, Pat (Jim) Stoffel, Mary Jean (Dale) Kedinger, Marilyn (Don) Rahlf and Claudia (Roy) Rahlf.

She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents, mother and father in-law Emil and Leona Rahlf, brothers Donald (Doris) and William Pfeifer, a sister Sally (Leroy) Rahlf, and her brothers-in-law Donald and Roy Rahlf.

Mass of Christian Burial for Emily was held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Hwy 175, St. Lawrence. The Rev. Joseph Dominic officiated. Family greeted relatives and friends from 3 until the time of the service. Interment was at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Shimon Funeral Home, www.shimonfuneralhome.c om, assisted the family.
