Marvin R. Miller, 83

    Marvin R. Miller, 83, of Neosho, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau surrounded by his family.
    Marvin was born May 12, 1927, in Hartford to Walter and Elsie (nee Frank) Miller. He was united in marriage to Audrey Schneider on Sept. 25, 1954, at St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neosho.
    Marvin loved to socialize and will be fondly remembered for volunteering his time to people in need in the Neosho area. He loved fishing, deer hunting and babysitting for his grandchildren. He worked at the Slinger Foundry and served as their union president. He was a member of St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    Marvin is survived by his wife, Audrey; his son, Jerry (Jean) Miller of Neosho; his daughter, Susan (Mark) Keeling of Ixonia; five grandchildren, Justin (Amanda), Kayla, Kelsey, Brenda (Chris) and Joseph; three greatgrandchildren, Mckayla, Paige and Julia; his brother, Merlin (Joanne) Miller of Juneau; his sister, Bernice (Verland) Roll of Hartford; and his sister-in-law, Pat (Jerry) Schwier. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon and Donald Miller.
    Funeral services for Marvin will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church, 132 E. School St., Neosho, with the Rev. Joshua Kesting officiating. The family will greet family and friends on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Neosho on Friday, Dec. 31.
