Mary Ellen Rehm

    Mary Ellen Rehm (nee Obermeyer) of Lehigh Acres, Fla., peacefully joined God’s Heavenly choir of angels onWednesday, Dec. 8, 2010.
    She was born at Mrs. Bradley’s building home in West Bend on Dec. 1, 1922, to George and Mary Anne (nee Donnelly) Obermeyer. She graduated with honors from both Holy Angels Grade School and West Bend High School. In 1943 she was happily joined in marriage to Robert Rehm in West Bend. The resided here until 1972, when they retired to Lehigh Acres, Fla. She was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxilary, belonged to many bowling leagues and various activities here in West Bend. For many years, Mary Ellen was employed as the chief book keeper for the Sears and Roebuck Store in West Bend. She loved to entertain their many friends and she and Bob enjoyed a few trips abroad. After their retirement, they spent many summers here in West Bend with her father.
    Mary Ellen is survived by her sister, Jean Fuller of West Bend; brother-in-law, Jack Rehm of Fort Meyers, Fla.; neices, Emma Gierczak, Carolyn Inman and Julie Sullivan; nephews, Bruce, Bryan and Richard Rehm.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; sister-in-law, Pearl Bodenback (nee Rehm); and brother-in-law, Richard Rehm.
    Entombment is at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Meyers. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
