Rosemary C. Wolf

Rosemary C. Wolf (nee Fechter), 71, of Newburg died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at her residence.

She was born May 5, 1938 in Saukville to the late Alois and Susan (nee Fleisner) Fechter and married Gilbert J. Wolf on May 17, 1958 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. Gilbert preceded her in death on July 26, 1991.

Rosie graduated from Ozaukee High School and was employed at the Ozaukee Press before she worked at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company. She took time off to raise her son before going back to work as a transcriptionist for the Washington County Clerk of Courts and then was employed at Bits-n-Pieces Floral Shoppe for 16 years until she retired.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling, attending Packer games and visiting casinos with friends. Rosemary volunteered her time at the Washington County Historical Society and at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg where she was active with the Fall Festival.

Survivors include her son Jeff (Cheryl) of West Bend, two grandsons, Alex and Ben; and five siblings, Marie Schwinn of Newburg, Robert (Alice) Fechter of Saukville, Al (Frankie) Fechter of West Bend, Margaret McGurk of Milwaukee and Barbara (Don) Brickheimer of Hermosa, SD. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sistersin-law Evelyn Fechter of Haven, Betty Doll of West Bend, Rosella Wolf of Hartford, Lucille (Gerald) Lofy of Richfield, Werner (Carol) Wolf of St. Lawrence, Florence (Tom) Schellinger of St. Lawrence, Marcel Wolf of St. Lawrence, Jerome (Donna) Wolf of Slinger and Arlene Wolf of Hubertus, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Alois and Susan Fechter and her husband Gilbert Wolf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg with burial following in the parish cemetery. Rev Kevin Kowalske will preside. Visitation will be Monday at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend from 4 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin are appreciated.
