Ruth R. Flasch (nee Beder)

Ruth R. Flasch (nee Beder) of Allenton, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 at St. Josephís Community Hospital at the age of 52 years.

Ruth was born on January 16, 1958 to Alvin and Anita (nee Krebs) Beder in St. Lawrence.  She attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and Slinger High School.  Ruth graduated from Moraine Park Technical College with a degree in Culinary Arts. Ruth married Edward A. Flasch on June 15, 1985 at Holy Angelís Catholic Church in West Bend.  She worked for Cedar Community for over 20 years and served on many committees at Cedar Community and was the Food Service Director for St. Peterís Catholic School in Slinger.  Ruth was currently employed at the Village Mart in Jackson.  Ruthís favorite hobby was teaching and making basketry, especially to the young 4-H members.  She was a Co-General Leader for the St. Lawrence Eager Beavers 4-H Club.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Ed, and loving daughters Bridgette, Allison and Crystal.  She is further survived by her sisters Agnes (George) Wagner, Theresa (Charles) Vogt, Claire (Michael) Nagel, brothers Paul (Diane) Beder, Frank (Karen) Beder, Lawrence (Chris) Beder, sisters-in-law Mary Beder and Marie (Gordon) Goodfellow, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers John and George Beder, sister Irene Beder, OSF, niece Tammy Beder and nephew David Beder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave., West Bend) with Father Gerald Brittain officiating.  Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend on Monday, February 8 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 pm.  Memorials are appreciated to the Washington County 4-H Program.
