Byron Dei, 78, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at his winter home in Fairhope, Ala. He spent his summers in Redgranite.
Byron was born on June 9, 1931, in Milwaukee the late Walter and Marie Dei.
He served his country from 1950 to 1954 in the Navy. He was united in marriage to Lucille Scheerer on March 22, 1952. He resided in Kewaskum for more than 50 years and was a member of Bricklayers’ Union Local 8 for 50 years.
He enjoyed helping and spending time with his family and friends.
Byron is survived by his wife, Lucille, and seven children Tom (Debbie) of Campbellsport, Sue of West Bend, Bill (Lori) of Kewaskum, Laura (Dan) Waehler of Gadsden, Tenn., Linda Guelig of Kaukauna, Sharon (Jeff) Werner of West Bend, and Bob (Laure) of Kewaskum. He is further survived by one daughter-in-law, Kathy Dei of West Bend; 16 grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, one brother, Donald Dei, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jim Dei of West Bend.
A memorial gathering in celebration of Byron’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Kewaskum Town Hall, 9019 Kettle Moraine Drive, Kewaskum. A light meal will be served following a service at 3:30 p.m.
