Shirley Kuehl (nee Lichtensteiger) passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at her residence at the age of 82.
She was born in Campbellsport on Nov. 27, 1927, to Leo and Charlotte (nee Glass) Lichtensteiger of Campbellsport.
On Nov. 12, 1947, she was united in marriage to Donald R. Kuehl of the town of Wayne. Shirley worked at Amity for 34 years. On occasion, she would also do modeling at the Fashion Niche in West Bend. She also loved to macramé hangers for our home and friends. Shirley loved to dance to big band music and polkas.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Donald, her children Gary (Arlene) Kuehl of West Bend and Terry (Julie) Kuehl of Appleton, grandchildren Kevin (Jen) Kuehl of Bonita Springs, Fla., Christopher Kuehl of Appleton and one step-grandchild Michelle (Ed) Wolf of Columbus, step great-grandchildren Miranda, Eddie and Katelyn Wolf. She is further survived by her sister Amatta Keller of Kewaskum, brother Donald (Mary Ann) Lichtensteiger of Campbellsport, and sisterin-law June Lichtenste-iger of Rio Rancho, N.M., many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Lichtensteiger, and brother-in-law Ray Keller.
A funeral service for Shirley will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at the St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, with Fr. Jeff Haines officiating. Visitation will be at the Church only on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. until the start of services at 7 p.m. Entombment will be at Ledgeview Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Memorials in Shirley’s name may be given to the Alzheimer’s Associa-tion of Southeastern Wisconsin.
