Bernice C. Weber, 88

Bernice C. Weber, 88, of Kewaskum passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Kettle Moraine Gardens.

 She was born on April 13, 1921, in Jackson, to Theodore J. and Lillian (nee Widder) Bock.

Bernice was confirmed in May of 1933 at St. Peterís Evangelical Church, Jackson, which is now known as St. Peterís United Church of Christ and graduated from West Bend High School in 1938. She married Hillary "Larry" Weber on May 29, 1943, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1969.

Bernice was a longtime member of St. Peterís United Church of Christ where she also taught Sunday school. She was employed at Amity Leather Products for 45 years and was a member of the Amity 25 Year Club. She was also a member of the Young at Heart organization. Upon her retirement, she volunteered for various organizations, especially the West Bend Food Pantry. In her freetime she enjoyed playing sheepshead.

Bernice is survived by her sister, Lorraine Fogt; brother, Kenneth Bock; and many nieces and nephews.|

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hillary "Larry" Weber; her parents, Theodore and Lillian Bock; sister, Pearl (the late Sylvester) Remmel; two brothers, Theodore (the late Stephanie) Bock Jr.; an infant brother, Lester; brother in-law, Clarence Fogt; and sister in-law, Babs Bock.

A memorial service for Bernice will be held at noon on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home in West Bend with the Rev. H. David Flegel officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials in Berniceís name may be donated to the Salvation Army of West Bend or the donorís choice.
