Alice Hoffmann, 81
A Mass of Christian Burual will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Alice Hoffmann of Saukville who passed away at the Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington on Feb. 15, 2010, at the age of 81. A visitation will take place on Friday, prior to the funeral Mass at the church from noon to 1 p.m. Father Tom Eichenberger will conduct the funeral Mass. Interment will take place following the funeral Mass at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Alice was born on Aug. 22, 1928, in Medford to August Berger and Mathilda (nee Zimmerman) Berger. She attended Flat Meadow Elementary School in Deer Creek township and went on to graduate from Medford High School. She later married August Hoffman on Dec. 13, 1951, in Milwaukee.
Alice attended a nursing school in Minnesota where she became a licensed practical nurse. Alice worked for the Milwaukee County Hospital in the labor and delivery ward, and later worked as an in-home care nurse for the elderly. She enjoyed her work as a nurse, but she also enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Alice is survived by her husband, August Hoffmann; and siblings, Jim Berger, Mary Ann Fillipiak and Estelle Oldenberg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Norman Berger.
