Dickmann (nee Ashman)
Ora A. Dickmann (nee Ashman) found peace on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 92.
She was born April 29, 1917, in West Bend to the late Harrison and Hilda (nee Schroeder) Ashman and married Theodore P. Dickmann on September 13, 1937 in West Bend. Ted preceded her in death on March 8, 1990.
Ora was a member of the 5th Avenue United Methodist Church in West Bend for many years. She was also a member of the West Bend Woman’s Club and enjoyed volunteering at the Samaritan Health Center.
Survivors include five children, Theodore Paul Jr. (Mary) of West Bend, Mary (Robert) Housel of Spooner, Stephen (Veronica) of Middleton, Amy (Mark) Tschohl of West Bend and Joan (Kenneth) Krueger of Brookfield, and nine grandchildren, Kenneth Dickmann, Jeffrey Housel, Marnie Housel, Heather Duffy, Keith Tschohl, Anna Sawyer, Matthew Krueger, Lisa Krueger and Katie Krueger. She is further survived by five great-grandchildren, her brother Robert (Adeline) Ashman of West Bend, a sister-in-law Betty Dickmann of West Bend and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Ora is preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Hilda, her husband Theodore and a brother Oscar Ashman.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at 5th Avenue United Methodist Church in West Bend with Rev Janice Best officiating. Interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday at the church only from 1 to 2:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials to 5th Avenue United Methodist Church or Cedar Community Hospice are appreciated.
