Dorothy Mae Glorioso

Dorothy Mae Glorioso, (nee Chartrand), 91, of West Bend, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Nov. 21, 1918, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to the late Damase and Maud (nee Morley) Chartrand, and was united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Glorioso on Nov. 21, 1938, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

After their marriage, they moved to Milwaukee where Dorothy and Tony owned and operated the former Chuck Wagon Restaurant, which closed in 1976. In 1976 they moved to Las Vegas. Tony preceded her in death in 1992, and Dorothy moved back to Milwaukee in 1993. Her final move was to West Bend in 1998.

Dorothy was a member of Blessed Savior Catholic Church in Milwaukee (formerly St. Corpus Christi Catholic Church). She enjoyed reading, puzzle books and playing cribbage.

She is the loving mother of the late Marion "Cotton" Anderson. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Gail) Glorioso of Saukville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Mills of Brimley, Mich.; and a thank you to a special niece, Janet (Charles) Oleson of Colgate. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. The Rev. Gregory Crhzinski of Blessed Savior Catholic Church will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
