William M. Geib, 95
William M. Geib of Newburg died on Tuesday, Jan.
12, 2010, at his home at the age of 95 years.
He was born on July 21, 1914 in Athens, to the
late Bernard and Helen (nee Laufer) Geib. In 1930, the family moved to
Newburg.
On Oct. 25, 1941, he was united in marriage to
Florence "Flossie" M. Kimla in Newburg. Flossie predeceased Aug.
23, 1995.
Bill worked for various businesses in the area
including the West Bend Woolen Mills, Fisher-Becker Garage in Newburg and
was employed as a welder at the former Modern Equipment, also in Newburg.
Due to an injury that caused him to loose his sight, he retired in 1957.
With the help of family members, he enjoyed spend
time weaving rugs on a loom, and he loved horses.
Survivors include two children, Donald (Janet) of
West Bend and Ronald (Cynthia) of Newburg; four grandchildren, Mark
(Connie), Michael, Dannielle (Jacob) Iller and Brianna; four
great-grandchildren; one brother, Anthony "Butch" (Virginia) of
Newburg; one brother-in-law Ruben Fahney of the town of Saukville; one
sister-in-law Anita Geib of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and
sisters, Lester, Amanda Hoffer, Marcella Rychtik, Margaret Fahney, LeRoy
and Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Saturday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg
with Fr. Kevin Kowalske presiding. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only on Saturday from 10 until
10:45 a.m.
