Richard E. Fisher, 86
Richard E. Fisher, 86, of West Bend, passed
away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation
Center.
He was born on Jan. 16, 1924, in Beloit to the late Erenst and Emily
Fisher. On June 1, 1944, Richard was united in marriage to Elizabeth
"Babe" Winders in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Together they moved to West
Bend in 1950, where they made their home. Babe preceded him in death on
Feb. 8, 1992.
Richard served his country honorably during World War II in the 16th Armor
Division in Europe. After his discharge, he worked as a photographer and
owned and operated Hollywood Studio in West Bend. When he was not working,
he enjoyed playing golf.
Richard is survived by his two children, William (Sue) Fisher and Cathy
(Dave) Jansen, both of West Bend; four grandchildren, Stacy (Eric)
Beltmann of West Bend, John (Glory) Jansen of Sussex, Amanda (John Kuepper)
Fisher of Allenton and Sandra Fisher of West Bend; three
great-grandchildren, Kael and Keaton Beltmann and Noah Jansen; other
relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Babe; and his
granddaughter, Valerie Jansen.
A memorial service in remembrance of Richard will be held on Friday,
Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington
St., West Bend, with the Rev. Mark Jansen officiating. Visitation will be
at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
Inurnment will take place at East Lawn Cemetery in Beloit this spring.
