Edward was born in the town of Mequon on Jan. 31, 1918, to the late Theodore Kieckhaefer Sr. and the late Anna (nee Kiehnau) Kieckhaefer.
He later married Lulu Fischer on Dec. 17, 1938, and their marriage was blessed with two children. Edward and Lulu lived and worked on the family farm, on Mequon Road, where Edward was born.
Edward served his country in the United States Army from May of 1945 to August of 1946. He was a member of the Howard J. Schroeder American Legion Post in Mequon for 59 years.
Edward loved keeping his yard and home, on the corner of Mequon Road, looking so beautiful. Although he loved working in his yard, his true love was his three grandchildren and seeing his five great- grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his wife, Lulu of Cedarburg; children, Curtiss (the late Betty) of Lincoln, Neb., and Barbara (Larry) Mallien of Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren, William Morgan, Michael Morgan, and Molly Philaja; and great-grandchildren, Collin, Liam, Sara, James, and Josephine. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
A special thank you to the caring staff at Lasata Nursing Home for the past three years of care and also to Dr. Christopher Budny for all of his continued help and care.
Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
