Clarence N. Sailer, 90


Clarence N. Sailer, 90, of Wisconsin Rapids, died at his residence, June 29, 2010.

Clarence was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Milwaukee to Nicolas and Lydia Sailer. He married Margie M. Hudson Oct. 27, 1943, in Orangeburg, S.C. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was a life member of the VFW in West Bend.

He worked for many years for Harley Davidson as a machinist retiring in the early ’70s.

Survivors include his wife, Margie of Port Edwards; four sons, Theodore of Random Lake, Gerard (special friend, Kelli) of West Bend; Joseph and Mike, both of Wisconsin Rapids; four daughters, Margie (Earl) Broecker of Florida; Christine Sailer of Wisconsin Rapids; Mary Thomas of Arizona; Doreen Wellner of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. at Clarence’s home at 5850 David Drive in Wisconsin Rapids.

The Higgins Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
