Elizabeth J. ‘Betty’ Miller, 75
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Miller (nee Wagner), 75, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010. She won the battle over cancer, but related lung disease could not be overcome.
Betty was born on July 7, 1935, to Henry and Elizabeth (nee Hildebrand) Wagner. She married James on Oct. 16, 1954, in Park Falls. Betty was an avid reader and the owner of The Book Mark in downtown West Bend for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling worldwide including out West, Acapulco, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She most loved spending time with her family, and "couldn’t get enough" of her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband, James "J.J."; children, Gail (Eduardo) Ramirez, Stan (Dawn) Miller, Patricia (Tom) Monday and Erin Jenz; and grandchildren, Christopher (Christine), Jason, Nicole (fiancé, Nick), Amber, Joshua (Lindsey), Kenton, Shannon, Joseph and Mackenzie. She is further survived by her sisters, Genevieve (Eugene) Draxler and Rosella Blum; special feline companions, Mi Ami and Ren; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Sylvester and William Wagner.
A funeral service for Betty will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, with the Rev. Jeffrey Haines presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home only from 4:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
