Marcella E. Chesak, 95
Marcella E. Chesak, 95, formerly of Random Lake, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake.
She was born on July 23, 1914, in the town of Farmington, a daughter of the late William and Frieda Moths Peterson. She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1930. On Nov. 20, 1937, she married Baldwin Chesak at St. Martin United Church of Christ in Fillmore. The couple lived Fredonia. Her husband, Baldwin, preceded her in death on May 31, 1974.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend.
Marcella was a full-time mother and grandmother who was known by her grandkids and great grandkids as "Granny." She loved gardening, cooking and baking.
Survivors include her children, Shirley (James) Backhaus of Random Lake, George (Carol) Chesak of Pensacola, Fla., and Carol Schneider (special friend, Jerry Laux) of Harshaw; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren ; eleven great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter. Also survived by special friend, Bob Schneider; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Clifford Gauger; daughter-in-law, Betty Chesak and brother, Leroy Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, at 6 p.m. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Richard Vincent of Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend will officiate. Burial will be in St Paulís Evangelical Cemetery in Waubeka. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4 p.m. on Tuesday until the time of services.
A Memorial Fund is being established in Marcellaís name.
