Betty M. Lahr, 84

Betty M. Lahr (nee Donahue) , 84, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee.

Betty was born on Oct. 7, 1925, in Milwaukee to John J. and Mary A. (nee Kenealy) Donahue. She was raised in Milwaukee and attended Messmer High School and Girlís Tech. On Oct. 5, 1941, she married Ernest H. Lahr at St. Agnes Church in Butler. After her marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee with Betty working for various companies in the Milwaukee area as a custodian and most recently with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for 18 years, retiring in 1989.

Betty was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger and past member of the Christian Mothers.

Betty is survived by her children, Mary (Joseph) Desautels of Plano, Texas, Carol (Ron) Couillard of Butler, Christine (Ray) Kobleska of Slinger, Dennis (Joy) of Theresa, Robert of West Bend, Judy (Thomas) White of West Bend and Terri (Carl) Garbers of Slinger; her grandchildren, Paul, John, Michael, Jason, Matthew (Jennifer), Brandon, Corine (Joe), Wesley (Jennifer), Andrew (Kelli), Maureen, Lyle, Jamie (Ken), Jodi (Kyle), Jennifer, Joshua, Amanda (Justin), Aaron, Adam (Rachel), Michael and Samantha; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Ellen and Mary Donahue of West Bend; two brothers, Dave (Kathy) Donahue of West Bend and Thomas (Pat) Donahue of Wauwatosa; a dear nephew, James (Joyce) Lahr of Erin; a sister-in-law, Judy Donahue; other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald; a daughter, Helen; two brothers, Edward and Jack Donahue; and a sister, Theresa Kreyer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger, with the Rev. Richard J. Stoffel presiding. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 25, at the church only from 2 p.m. until time of Mass. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
