Steven L. "Steve" "Big Daddy" Szerbowski, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 24, 2010.

Steve was born on March 22, 1971, to Lawrence Szerbowski and Cynthia (nee Zunk) Guagliardi. He married Amy Puerling on June 3, 2001, in Nevada. Steve enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, telling jokes, pulling pranks, grilling, fishing, hunting and took every opportunity to help others. He was a very hard worker, a dedicated family man and was incredibly proud of his four children. Steve was proud of his work at Langer Roofing in Milwaukee for 15 years as a foreman/ repairman.

Steve is survived by his wife, Amy; and children, Nickolas, Nathan, Natalie and Nolan. He is further survived by his parents, Larry and Pat Szerbowski; brother, Dan (Sharon) Szerbowski; mother-in-law, Connie Puerling; brothers-in-law, John (Patty) Beimborn, Loren (Lisa) Beimborn, Dave (Laurie) Beimborn and Dan (Sarah) Beimborn; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Jim Ocepek) Beimborn and Tricia (Chad Butzke) Puerling; nieces, Ashley and Stephanie Szerbowski; grandmother, Ada Mae Zunk; g r a n d m o t h e r- i n - law, Lee Westphal; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Scott C. Leland; grandparents, Joe and Lottie Szerbowski and Ray Zunk; and father-in-law, Jerome Puerling.

A funeral service for Steve will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with the Rev. Guy Gurath presiding. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service. Memorials to the family are greatly appreciated.
