Barbara J. Robarge, 82

Barbara J. Robarge (nee Johnson), 82, passed away Tuesday June 1, 2010, at Kathy Hospice.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in Milwaukee, to August C. and Lorretta E. (nee Hayes) Robarge. Barbara grew up in Milwaukee and after her marriage to James A. Robarge on July 19, 1946, the couple lived in Milwaukee and later moved to Big Cedar Lake and the Slinger area. She finally settled in Hartford in 2000. She also was an avid bowler and enjoyed her times at Kettle Moraine Bowl and Slinger Lanes. Barbara also enjoyed watching old movies and loved cooking, the bigger the meals, the better.

Barbara is survived by her children James "Mike" Robarge of Wausaukee, Paula (Terry) Lehn of Hartford, Pat Lehman of Cypress, Calif., and John (dear friend, Jeanne) of West Bend. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held 7 p.m. on Thursday June 10, 2010, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend with the Rev. Cheryl Matusiak presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home in West Bend on Thursday, June 10, from 5 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in Holy Cross cemetery in Milwaukee.

The Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kathy Hospice for all the care they gave to Barbara, and thank Mary Schulta from the Hartford Care Center who was Barbara’s roommate and dear friend. A special thank you to Hartford Hospital and Dr. Lau and Dr. Foutenhauer for the care they gave as well.
