Vernon LeRoy Kutz, 78

Vernon LeRoy Kutz, 78, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Cedar Community.

Vernon was born on June 3, 1932, in Lima Center, to Harry and Mina (nee Truman) Kutz. He married Darlene Kutz (nee Wilson) on Jan. 29, 1955, in Janesville. Vernon worked for the Gehl Co. for over 38 years and belonged to the Hexelbank Club. Vernon was a member of KWVA (Korean War Veteran Association), Great Lakes Sports Fishing Club-Ozaukee Chapter and the Quinney Fishing Club. He was an avid fisherman and spent many days on the water and ice.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Pam (Brian) Hall, Amy (special friend, Bob Lueders) Holman, Russell (Mary) Kutz, Roger (Lynn) Kutz and Ann (Brett) Berndt; grandchildren, Linae, Daniel, Briana, Ashley, Scott, Lee, Emily, Madeline and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Dillon and Tessa. He is further survived by his sisters, Joyce (Stan) Rogge and Nancy ( R i ch a rd ) Flanagan; many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Leo Wein; brother, Don; and sisters, Janette and Joan.

A funeral service for Vernon will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend, with the Rev. Joseph Fisher presiding. Visitation will be at the church only from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial at Washington County Memorial Park.
