Ralph E. Huettner, 69


Ralph E. Huettner, 69, of Waupaca, Wis., passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 after a long fought battle with cancer, complicated by Parkinsonís disease.

He was born in Theresa, Wis., on Jan. 18, 1941, a son of the late Elmer and Tillie (nee Baierl) Huettner.

He married Elaine A. Seiler on Oct. 6, 1962 at St. Theresaís Catholic Church in Theresa.

Ralph was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca. He graduated from Mayville High School. Ralph worked for West Bend Company, Level Valley Dairy in Jackson and Wohlt Cheese in New London.

He enjoyed doing outdoor activities such as cutting wood, fishing, camping, biking, walking and gardening. Ralph loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Elaine Huettner of Waupaca; children Sherry (Skinny) Prinsen of Hingham, Wis., Greg (Patti) Huettner of Grafton and Jeff (LuAnn) Huettner of Oostburg, Wis.; grandchildren Amanda and Katie Prinsen, Eric and Lizzie Huettner, and Josh and Abby Huettner; brother David (Karen) Huettner of Theresa; and sister Carol (Butch) Wietor, of Brownsville, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Rueben and Merlin Huettner.

A private family service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Saturday, June 19, 2010, with Rose Mary Salzman, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given for research of Parkinsonís disease and cancer.
