Donald Paul Van Beek

Donald Paul Van Beek, 65, of West Bend, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

He was born Aug. 9, 1944, the first of 10 children to Clarence and Leona (nee Schneider) Van Beek.

Donny was a life-long dedicated dairy farmer who almost never missed a milking. He was an avid fan of Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Packers, and he enjoyed discussing politics. Donny was very interested in antique farm machinery.

He was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend.

Donny is survived by his parents, Clarence and Leona; and eight brothers and sisters, Jim (Sue) of St.Kilian, the Rev. Alois Van Beek of Neosho, Mary (Jim) Brodzeller of West Bend, Gerald of St. Kilian, Howard of Ashford, Leo (Bridget) of Waupun, Earl of Ashford and Sylvester (Patricia) of Mayville. He is further survived by his two goddaughters, Laura Murphy and Katie Van Beek; two uncles; one aunt; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; neighbors and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Rayner; and his great-nephew, Isaiah Van Beek.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend with the Rev. Alois Van Beek presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Old Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, at the church only from 10:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
