James J. Lochen III, 64, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at his residence.
James was born on July 14, 1945, to James II and Dolores (nee Soars) Lochen in West Bend. He graduated from West Bend High School, class of 1965. James volunteered with the U.S. Coast Guard and faithfully served his country for four years with an honorable discharge in 1969. He married Alice A. (nee Weasler) on May 2, 1970, at St. Peterís Catholic Church of Slinger. After marriage, the couple lived in Slinger and James was employed at Amity Leather Company of West Bend for 28 years in maintenance and later worked for Weasler Engineering of West Bend for five years. He was a member of the American Legion of West Bend.
James is survived by his wife, Alice; brother, Richard (Tina) of West Bend; sisters, Maureen (Dan) Kramer of Weyauwega and Pam (Bob) Schumacher of West Bend; god-sons, Dale Brian Schloemer of West Bend, Richard Lochen Jr. of Sheboygan and Scott Schumacher of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Arthur and Charlotte Weasler.
A memorial service was held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at his residence. Interment of Ashes will take place at Washington County Memorial Park with full military honors. Memorials are appreciated.
