Allen E. Hoerchner Allen E. Hoerchner of Jackson passed away Wednesday March 3, 2010, at Kathy Hospice after a brief illness with cancer. He was born on Oct. 28, 1929, to Walter J. and Anita C. (nee Burchardt) Hoerchner. On Jan. 21, 1955, he married Gladys C. Vogel and they were married for 55 years. Allen was a 36-year member of the Jackson Legion Post No. 486. After marriage, he farmed and later drove truck for Liesner Trucking Topsoil, Central Ready Mix and sold seed for Renk Seed Inc. He enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead, and spending time with his grandchildren. Allen used to say he was going to "tut around" while he whistled and listened to polka music. Allen is survived by his wife of 55 years,
Gladys; his children, John, Jim (Sheri), Judy (Gilbert) Luebbe, Janice
(Paul) Filber and Mark. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren, Dawn
(Pat) Prescott, Carrie (Tony) Ovalle, Jeff (special friend, Lynn), Clint (fiancee,
Heather) Luebbe, Jenny (Jon) Dietz, Thomas Luebbe, Jason, Marie, Joel and
Ella Hoerchner, Emily and Madisyn Filber; 15 greatgrandchildren, Shayla,
Evie, Dayton, Daysha, Kaiden, Zack, Xaver, Nolan, Josephine, Diego,
Oliver, Kimora, Jada, Joaquin and Stella; sister, Gayle (Paul) Gumm;
brother, Donald (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Audrey (special friend, Jim)
Hoerchner, Ethel Miller and Mary Spiekermann; nieces, nephews other
relatives and friends.
